Some Christians claim that God promises to heal every sickness here and now as long as the sick person has faith. Others claim God never heals. The subject of healing causes a great deal of confusion and conflict among Christians.
That's why it's extremely important that we understand what Scripture actually teaches about healing so we can accurately answer questions about our faith and identify false teachings (1 Peter 3:15).
Beware of anyone who suggests “healing formulas.” We can't expect easy answers because God works in diverse ways in regard to healing.
As we study Scripture, we'll realize there is more than one right answer to why, who, when and how God heals. And some aspects of healing are beyond our ability to understand (Deuteronomy 29:29).
We need to be careful that no one takes us "captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ" (Colossians 2:8).
And we must do our best to present ourselves "to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).

Wow! I just had a conversation with a beloved about this and I used a phrase similar in that there is no formula to use to get our healings. And it still amazes me to think that there were many cases of healings at the hands of the apostles and disciples yet there was Paul with his eyes and Timothy with his stomach and Joni Ericson Tada that had plenty of faith, but has been more effective in her disability, than perhaps she would have if she were whole.
